As an independent, college preparatory school, we anticipate each year that 100% of our graduates will pursue post-secondary studies at four-year colleges and universities. Occasionally, a student will choose to defer her college acceptance for a semester or a year in order to pursue a ‘gap year’ to complete service work, to travel or to pursue language and cultural immersion.
The Saint Mary’s School Class of 2011 included 88 girls who continued the SMS tradition of academic excellence and personal achievement. They earned acceptances to an array of colleges and universities across the nation and were offered over $1.7 million in college scholarships. Since 2007, the value of such awards for graduating seniors surpasses $7.9 million dollars. The Class of 2011 includes National Honor Society members, National Merit Scholarship Program honorees, and individuals who distinguished themselves through athletics, the performing and visual arts, and service to the community.
