How to Apply

Applying to Saint Mary's is simple! This is your opportunity to help us get to know you - your strengths, challenges, and your areas of interest. Completing your application includes four easy steps as detailed below.

The application deadline for the 2017-2018 school year is January 30, 2017. Priority is given to those who meet the application and financial aid deadline of January 30. Applicants who meet the deadline will be notified of an admission and financial aid decision on March 10, 2017.

If you have any questions about the admission process, please let us know by contacting the admission office as soon as possible to begin the admission process.

The admission process can be broken into four parts: forms from the applicant's family, recommendations and transcript from the applicant's current school, SSAT testing and an interview at Saint Mary's School.

Part 1: Forms from the Applicant's Family

The application form provides Saint Mary's School with contact and background information about prospective students. Applicants must submit the Student Statement, and applicants' parents must complete the corresponding Parent Statement. Click here to download an application. All applicants must also submit a $100 application fee.

Part 2: Recommendations and Transcript from the Applicant's Current School

Applicants should complete the top portion of the Guidance Counselor Recommendation, English Teacher Recommendation, and the Mathematics Teacher Recommendation and deliver them to the appropriate people at their current school. The counselor and teachers should send the recommendations directly to the Saint Mary's School Admission Office. (Applicants may want to provide a stamped, addressed envelope with the recommendation forms to expedite the process.) A Personal Recommendation is optional.

The current school's guidance counselor or registrar must also send the applicant's most recent academic transcript and standardized testing.

Each applicant is responsible for her own SSAT registration. Please visit http://www.ssat.org/ to register online. The test is offered at a variety of locations across the US and internationally. Please request Saint Mary's School as a score recipient when registering to ensure that our Admission Office will receive the scores.
