Dance

The Saint Mary's School dance program encourages you to develop your creative and expressive potential through the study of dance. Dance classes will expand on your knowledge of dance technique, primarily in the diciplines of modern and ballet. Throughout the year, guest artists add layers to the SMS dance program by teaching classes in other genres of dance, such as jazz, hip hop and African. Orchesis Dance Theatre, Saint Mary's resident dance company established in 1938, is open by invitation and open to students above the elementary dance level.
