YOUR SMS EXPERIENCE

What is your favorite SMS tradition?
Fall Ball! It is so much fun and the music is great!

What has been your favorite class in the last three years? Why?
Well, this past year was actually my first year at SMS so I haven't had the chance to experience all of the same classes as others in my grade, but, I would say that Dr. Esthimer's Origins of Western Thought class has been my favorite so far. I love thinking philosophically, and Dr. E is a great teacher!

What class has been the most challenging class thus far? How did you survive?
My most challenging class was Mr. Edmonds' US History Class. We had readings assigned everyday, which was difficult for me because I am a slower reader. But I did my best to read because I knew it would lead to better discussions in class.

Why did you come to SMS?
Honestly, I was looking for a change. I also thought it would be good to have a bit of "dorm life" experience before I go to college.

What is your leadership style?
I lead by example.

What are you most looking forward to as a member of SGA?
I'm hoping that being a part of this group of leaders will allow me to get more involved. I'm genuinely looking forward to getting to know every individual girl at SMS.

What are you most looking forward to as a senior?
I'm mostly looking forward to the trust.

ADVICE TO NEW STUDENTS

What advice would you give to a new incoming student?
Try making friends with people you don't know yet, rather than sticking close to those you do.

What do you wish someone had told you?
I wish someone had told me how little time there is in a day at Saint Mary's. It seems like there is a lot, but it all flies by!

What do you wish you had done sooner?
I wish I had been a part of more clubs. Or done something more important with my summers.
