Saint Mary’s School has many ways of keeping students safe.
Security guards are on duty 24/7 and our access-control systems on our parking lots, academic buildings and residence halls keeps all parts of the campus secure.
When students leave the residence hall for a trip off campus, perhaps for an afternoon smoothie or a weekend shopping expedition, they sign out face-to-face with an adult who knows where they are going and when they plan to return. When students return and at key points during the day and weekend, these checks help Saint Mary's resident faculty to be sure that girls are safe and well.
Saint Mary's School believes good physical and emotional heath is important to helping girls do their best in the classroom, on stage or on the playing field. With two resident nurses, a supervising physician, two school counselors who live on campus, 24/7 triage service, CPR certified faculty, an athletic trainer, two Automatic External Defibrillators on campus, and Duke and UNC Health Systems nearby, we are prepared to keep students safe and healthy.
