"There are so many things that I love about Saint Mary’s. It’s a place rich with tradition and beautiful historical buildings, but we are also always evolving. It’s important to me that we are an Episcopal school that values the dignity and worth of all, that we are a girls’ school, and that we are experts in educating girls.

Above all, I love the people at Saint Mary’s, my wonderful colleagues and our precious girls. I feel privileged to work alongside such brilliant people, who care deeply about what they do, are masters in their subjects, and also care about our girls.

Of course, the girls at Saint Mary’s are the reason why I’ve stayed here for close to twenty years. They are truly special. They’re lively, bright, creative, and so much fun to work and live with! They are also caring, kind, and compassionate. Although you can see this on a daily basis, I am reminded of how touching it was to see our students' response to participating in the Memory Project.  We created portraits of kindness for orphaned children in the Democratic Republic of Congo. I was struck by how inspired our girls were to create the portraits, how hard they worked to make their pieces good, and how much it meant it to them. When we received the video of the children getting their portraits, there wasn’t a dry in the house. This spirit of generosity, the girls concern with being good people as well as good students, makes working at Saint Mary’s truly special."
