Leadership Education
Leadership is integral to every aspect of the student experience, forming the foundation of our academic and extracurricular programs.
Leadership education is the core of our academic and extracurricular programming, woven into every aspect of the student experience. Through a variety of programs, such as our signature Seminar Program, student government, and community service initiatives, students are encouraged to develop essential leadership skills like communication, collaboration, and critical thinking. Leadership isn't just an isolated aspect of the curriculum; it’s the thread that ties all our programming together, ensuring that every student is empowered to lead with confidence and integrity.
Leadership Immersion Lab
Saint Mary’s exclusive Leadership Immersion Lab is a groundbreaking program for 11th and 12th-grade boarding students, launching in the 2024-2025 school year. This initiative offers young women the chance to develop essential leadership skills through collaborative, experiential learning. First-semester sessions include negotiations, public speaking, challenging conversations, and public administration.
Our leadership curriculum is designed to be both practical and reflective, offering students opportunities to apply leadership skills in real-world settings and to reflect on their personal growth. Saint Mary's programs provide platforms for students to explore leadership in diverse contexts, whether they are leading a group project, serving in Chapel, or engaging in cultural exchanges abroad. By the time they graduate, Saint Mary’s students are not only prepared to excel in their chosen fields but are also equipped to lead with purpose and a deep sense of responsibility.
