Sarah Graham Kenan Library
- The Sarah Graham Kenan Library is a bright, contemporary and vibrant center of intellectual life for the students and faculty at Saint Mary’s School supporting the habits of lifelong learners since its dedication in 1966. The Kenan Library was named after alumna and philanthropist Sarah Graham Kenan, class of 1893, whose charitable foundation made the building possible.
This inviting space, made possible through the generosity of the William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust, serves as a creative commons providing access to extensive research materials and new technology. Designed to support both individual study and group project work, it is a relaxed and contemporary environment fully staffed by knowledgeable and helpful librarians.
Kenan Library has extensive cataloged holdings, both print and digital. Students have global access to thousands of reliable online research databases, textbooks, journals, periodicals, multimedia content both historical and current. Additionally, at the nearby Wake County Public Library (WCPL) in Cameron Village, students who apply for a WCPL Card and Pin can check out books, download eBooks and audio books, access electronic databases, and obtain books through the Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
