*SSAT Scores: Applicants must take the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test). Please note this test is required unless you are a student applying for the 11th or 12th grade and you have a PSAT, SAT or ACT score to submit. Each applicant is responsible for their own SSAT registration. Please visit http://www.ssat.org/ to register online. Multiple options and opportunities to take the SSAT are available for the 2023-2024 testing season. Students in the U.S. may take the computer based SSAT at home or at a Prometric Testing Center.
International students may take the paper-based SSAT when offered. Depending on the country, testing at a Prometric Test Center may be available. Please request Saint Mary's School as a score recipient when registering to ensure the admission office receives your scores as soon as they are available.
The Character Skills Snapshot measures a student’s preferences toward various character skills. It is administered through the Enrollment Management Association and is free for those students taking the SSAT. Applicants must request that their results be shared with Saint Mary’s School.
Recommendations: Applicants should first complete the Applicant Waiver. Once this form is completed, the applicant may request recommendations through the application portal using their corresponding teachers’ email addresses. Recommendations are required from the applicant’s guidance counselor, English teacher, and mathematics teacher. A personal recommendation is optional.
Admission Interview: An interview is required for all applicants. Your admission counselor will work with you to schedule this, either on-campus or virtually.
