Need-based Financial Aid

The Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) is the cornerstone of our financial aid process. The PFS gathers relevant information about your family size, income and expenses all in one place. After you submit your PFS, School and Student Services (SSS) will send Saint Mary’s their analysis. These results provide a starting place from which we calculate your financial need so it is important to include any explanations that will give us insight into your family’s situation. Please be sure to fill in a realistic figure for your family’s budget for your daughter’s tuition as it will play directly into the review of your file. By submitting your 2022 tax return, our financial aid office is able to verify that your information has been entered correctly into the PFS. If you are unable to submit your 2022 tax return by the deadline, we will temporarily accept your 2021 tax forms. Please keep in mind that a financial aid application is not considered complete until we have received all up to date forms.

Similar to your tax return, submitting your 2022 W-2s is required and is another important way for Saint Mary’s to verify your PFS.

We ask families to submit this form signed but not dated. This form allows the financial aid office to request a copy of your most recent tax return from the IRS if we deem that to be necessary.
