From Orchesis Dance Theatre President
Rim Metina-Belknap '19

We are so excited to welcome you to the Spring 2019 Orchesis Dance Theatre Concert. This concert, performed by 18 Orchesis members, is a special one and we hope it will spark joy in the community.

We would like to recognize five very important people who have been so important to Orchesis this year. The first three are our Orchesis seniors, Lilly Beth Glenn, Emma Rose McCune, and Rim Metina-Belknap. We are proud of all their accomplishments during their four years in Orchesis; and we are sad to see them leave us in May!

The next two are our dance teachers, Ms. Pearson and Ms. Yount. They have both brought creativity and enthusiasm to the dance program. Our high school experience would not be the same without them. We are so thankful for their patience and dedication to our success and happiness.

Serving as president of Orchesis this past year has been a rewarding experience and so much fun! I love dancing with all the girls in Orchesis who continually bring their unique style and passion to the dance studios every day. Some of the highlights of this year include so many of our dance classes, special outings, the Secret Santa gift exchange, and sporadic company lunches. With all these events and memories shared, Orchesis has grown into our own little family.

One stage today, you will see eight dances choreographed by Orchesis members including, Victoria Crook '14, Lilly Beth Glenn '19, Emma Rose McCune '19, Rim Metina-Belknap '19, J'Lah Johnson '20, Frances Williams '20, Ashley White '20, and Emma Lias '20. Dancers have been challenged during this semester to choreograph pieces that are unique to their style. Many of the students choreographed lively dances that will leave you wanting more.

On behalf of Orchesis Dance Theatre, we would like to thank you again for coming to our spring concert. Your support for the dance program is greatly appreciated and will ensure a bright future for the company.

Sincerely,

Rim Metina-Belknap '19
