For Saint Mary's, we work together in Thy sight.
Since 1842, Saint Mary's School has been educating young women in the Episcopal tradition.
That tradition is made possible through the generosity of alumnae and friends like you supporting the Annual Fund each school year. The Saint Mary’s Annual Fund goal is $1.675 million for the 2025-2026 year. The Annual Fund plays a vital role in sustaining our operating budget, and provides additional scholarship support beyond what the endowment generates, ensuring every student thrives at Saint Mary’s.
Three alumnae now work in the Development and Alumnae Relations Office. Emily Smith ’01, Beth Walters Nash ’08, and Florrie McCard ’14 have all pledged their support to the Annual Fund, and invite you to join them in supporting the 2025-2026 Annual Fund.
Emily ’01 continues in her role as Director of Alumnae Engagement. Emily’s institutional knowledge and love of Saint Mary’s are invaluable as she fosters meaningful relationships.
“Saint Mary’s has always been a place that inspires lifelong connection — not just between students and teachers, but across generations,” she says.
Emily is joined by two alumnae whose work is already making a difference: Beth Nash ’08, Director of Major Gifts, and Florrie McCard ’14, Director of Annual Giving.
“Working alongside Florrie ’14 and Beth ’08, two of my former students on dorm, and now colleagues and friends, reminds me every day why this school is worth supporting. Our shared commitment to Saint Mary’s mission makes our work so meaningful,” Smith adds.
Saint Mary’s Annual Fund supports every student, every day. From scholarships and faculty support to the spiritual and academic programming that defines us, the Annual Fund sustains what makes Saint Mary’s exceptional.

Giving to Saint Mary’s comes naturally to Beth Nash ’08. “I can say with confidence that my time at Saint Mary’s was the most transformative chapter of my life. The friendships, the memories, and the confidence I gained through an all-girls education created the foundation for the rest of my life. I am grateful to the donors before me, whose Annual Fund support made my experience possible. Our alma mater is where stories begin, and giving back is how we write the next chapter for future Saints.”
