Meet our Grandparent Annual Fund Chairs

Mary Jane Jenkins and Vicky McKenzie Armes ’62C  have generously stepped forward to volunteer their time as Saint Mary’s VISION 20/20 Annual Fund campaign Grandparent Co-Chairs. Both women have deep affection for Saint Mary’s and many legacy ties to the school and as Co-Chairs for the Annual Fund Grandparent Campaign, these wonderful women will partner with the Development and Alumnae Office to help engage, connect, and build relationships with other Saints Mary's grandparents, provide news and information especially relevant for grandparents, and speak at our Grandparents & Grandfriends Day alongside the Head of School and keynote speakers.

Mary Jane’s connections to Saint Mary’s began with her late mother-in-law Virginia Clark Jenkins ’34HS and Virginia’s late sister Nancy Clark Stronach ’35C, both of whom were Saint Mary’s girls. Two of Mary Jane’s daughters, Emily Jenkins ’94HS and Eliza Jenkins Stoecker ’96HS, also graduated from Saint Mary’s, and Eliza currently serves as a member of the Alumnae Council. Mary Jane’s daughter, Louise Jenkins Stowe, is mother of current student and member of the senior class May Stowe ’20. Mary Jane has long been an advocate for and leadership donor to Saint Mary’s.

Vicky is not only a graduate herself, but also raised her own Saint Mary’s girl, daughter Lawson Armes ’87HS ’89C. Vicky’s son Martin and his wife Cindy are parents to incoming first year day student Sarah Pratt ’23. Vicky’s ties also include her cousin Barbara McKenzie Scott ’63C. Over the years, Vicky has tirelessly served as a member of Saint Mary’s Alumnae Council and a vocal advocate for all things Saint Mary’s with her classmates and as a consistent leadership donor herself. She has served as a reunion hostess and as a class agent, as well as on the committee for the 175^th Anniversary Gala.

But for both women, their most important role now is that of grandmother to their Saint Mary’s girls. We look forward to celebrating our VISION 20/20 year under their leadership for our Grandparent & Grandfriend campaign.
