Ann Marie Davis is an instructor of science and a residential faculty member at Saint Mary’s. She joined the Saint Mary’s community in 2013 after working in Wake County Public Schools as an 8th grade science instructor and science curriculum writer for the county. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and secondary science education. She attended Salem Academy as a boarding student for four years of high school.
By day, Ms. Davis is a science instructor, a professional learning team leader, and a curriculum design coach. By night, she is a member of the residential community and enjoys the role of working with students in the evenings and enjoying meals and activities with the community.
“Saint Mary’s is a special place to me because of our students,” says Ms. Davis. “Working with an all-girls student population is very special, as we are able to tailor and design learning experiences to accelerate the academic growth and potential for impact in young women. I really believe in our mission and am inspired by the work of my students and colleagues. I love the location of Saint Mary’s in Raleigh. Our campus provides a serene, academic setting in the middle of a growing urban downtown center that is just a short walk away. I love how much the city is growing, and the connections that our community is making with the growing entrepreneurial community.”
In her free time, she enjoys learning, hiking, and traveling. Ms. Davis lives at Saint Mary’s with her husband and dog Finn.
