Heather Ramee, Director of Seminar, joined the faculty at Saint Mary’s in 2000. She holds a bachelor’s degree in French from the University of Virginia and a Master’s degree in French and teaching from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Ms. Ramee has taught French and served as the coordinator of the Saint Mary’s exchange with the Institut des Chartreux in Lyon, France, before she moved into her role as Director of Seminar in 2019. She co-designs the Saint Mary’s Seminar Program and was part of the inaugural class of District C Coaching Fellows. She particularly enjoys design thinking, entrepreneurship, and problem solving.
Ms. Ramee's interests include travel, cooking, attending live music concerts, games and logic puzzles, and spending time outdoors. She enjoys exploring downtown Raleigh and marvels at how much the city has changed since she began her career at Saint Mary’s. She loves to get Saint Mary’s students off campus to help them apply their learning outside of school.
Ms. Ramee "values the collaboration between teachers and students at Saint Mary's and the feeling that when we work together we value one another’s differences and strengths."
