Stephanie Suski joined the staff at Saint Mary’s in 1998. She holds an A.B. in history and Spanish from the University of North Carolina and an M.Ed. in secondary social studies from North Carolina State University.

“When I am asked why I enjoy teaching at Saint Mary’s, the reply is an easy one,” says Suski. “It’s a place where teachers want to teach well and are given the room to do so; and a place where students want to learn. It is what people hope for when they go into teaching, and that isn’t true everywhere. And, there are educators all over my family, and my cousin’s advice from years ago still rings true:  to be a good teacher, you need to love your subject and love being with students. I have both, and I still enjoy coming to work after all this time.”

Ms. Suski has two sons, Andrew and Henry.
